The last scheduled forum before the May 6 Lynchburg City Council elections is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sydnor Performance Hall in Elliot & Rosel Schewel Hall at Lynchburg College.

The event, which is being organized by the Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, is open to the public and will include candidates from all four wards.

In Ward I, Dr. Tom Shahady, associate professor of environmental science at Lynchburg College, faces incumbent Mike Gillette, along with Jim Martin.

In Ward II, incumbent Ceasor Johnson faces David Johnston.

In Ward III, Nat Marshall, a 1983 graduate of Lynchburg College and a member of the LC Board of Trustees, will face off against incumbent Jeff Helgeson.

Ward IV has a contest between two newcomers: Turner Perrow and Marie Waller.
